Janet Lynn Clayton Partin, beloved wife,mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, July 17,2022 at the age of 69. Janet passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, after a lengthy illness.
Janet was born June 27, 1953 to Arline and Ruth Clayton in Atlanta, Tx. Her family moved from Atlanta to Bossier City, La where she married Michael Partin on June 4, 1971. Janet became a registered nurse and worked for over 20 years devoted to caring for others.
No matter how much devotion Janet provided in her career as a nurse, it never came close to the passion she had for her family. Janet’s true calling was as a mother and grandmother. She spent every available moment showering her daughters and grandkids with her unconditional and never ending love. She knew loving them was her one true calling.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Arline Clayton and Ruth Clayton.
She is survived by her husband Michael Partin, her daughters, Connie Martin and husband Terry, Dana Powell and husband Greg, her grandchildren Shawn Kerry, Austin Fulgham, Shelby Martin, and Grayson Powell, her great grandchildren Carter and Weston, and her brother Larry Clayton and wife Jan. Also survived by many cousins, nephews and nieces.
Janet’s celebration of Life will be held July 22,2022 at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home in Haughton, La at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends and family from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home
