James "Jim" H. Humphreys USAF, Retired

James was born in Greenbrier County, WV on May 14, 1942. He joined the Air Force and served his country for over 20 years. He met and married Linda while they were both stationed at Barksdale AFB.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah J. Humphreys; parents, Sidney and Gladys Humphreys; brothers, Charles Humphreys (Terry), Ralph Humphreys (Bonnie), and Robert Humphreys (Judy); sisters, M. Elizabeth Farrell Dietz, Margaret Childers (Thurmond) and Dorothy Quick (Paul); and in-laws, Ida and Mose Pope and former sister-in-law, Linda.

James is survived by his wife, Linda S. Humphreys; son, Bryan J. Humphreys and wife Laurie; daughter, Jami L. Humphreys; granddaughter, Sydney Humphreys; brother, Jack Humphreys and wife Alice; and former sister-in-law, Pat.

A visitation for James will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, 601 Hwy 80, Haughton, Louisiana. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Park with Pastor Guy Smith officiating.
