Debra Elaine Brown, affectionately known as “Sweet,” passed away on November 3, 2024, at the age of 70. She was born on September 9, 1954, in Selma, Alabama, and spent her later years in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Debra’s life was centered around her family, particularly her role as a grandmother. She cherished every moment spent with her eight grandchildren, Everett, Simone, Aahjahe, Elijah, Brielle, Braylon, Tre, and Jordan. A dedicated mother, she took immense pride in supporting her two sons, Leroy Jr. and Everette, in their sports and life endeavors.
Married to Leroy Brown Sr. for 52 wonderful years, Debra found joy in nurturing her family and being a steadfast partner. Her love and commitment to her husband and children were evident in everything she did.
Debra’s legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends who will remember her warmth, kindness, and unwavering support. She is survived by her loving husband, her two sons, and her beloved grandchildren, all of whom will carry forward the values and love she instilled in them.
A memorial service to celebrate Debra’s life will be held at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home.
