He got excited about Jesus!  Loved how you could ask him how long it had been since the Lord cured him for cancer and he could tell you to the day how long it had been.  We should all be like Mr. Wooten, excited about Jesus!

I was a member of Bellaire Baptist before moving.  What an angel!  He was one of those special people who was always smiling and loved the Lord.  He was always so willing to share his love with so many people.  He helped bring so many people to Christ.  He was a beautiful person and God is so lucky to have him.
Family, may God give you stregth and hold ya'll in your time of great sorrow.  God Bless the family.

We are so sorry  to hear about the loss of Bro. Dan. He planted so many seeds in many peoples lives.  I'll always remember him sitting on the second pew clapping with great joy! Thank you for sharing him with all of us.  He will be missed tremendously.

I work for Brammer Engineering.  Both Dan and Steve had worked for BEI over the years.  I always looked forward to a big hug when Dan came to the office.  He was one of the most genuine, Jesus loving people I have ever met.  I missed him when he retired, but he did come visit every once in a while.
Mr Brammer also passed away very recently.  I'm sure Dan and Mr. B are already discussing the next workover or where to drill the next heavenly well.  I have no doubt that Dan is now one of the newest guardian angels.  My sympathy to the Wooten family.

HELLO!!! Breathe easy friend, you have been promoted! My family wants to thank you and your lovely wife for being a great example of the christian walk. We are so sad for the loss of someone so special as D-Daddy. We know that Daniel is rejoicing in the glory of our Lord and Savior right now. We remember his praising of God to be unbridled. I can't imagine how he's shouting and jumping for joy with Jesus right now!

The Dentons

Truly one of the Godliest men I've ever known.  One of my favorite memories are the prayer sessions we had every Tuesday with RF Gates, Pastor Randy, and a few others.  He's longer living by faith now, he's living by sight!  We will surely miss him but know he's really enjoying heaven with Jesus.  If anyone ever loved Jesus it was Mr. Woooten!

The Final Salute

“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another. 

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to Daniel Wooten  our “Brother-in-Arms”.   To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Daniel.   And to Daniel it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the devoted and selfless service he rendered to his country while serving in the U.S. Navy.  Daniel, we bid you a sad farewell.  You will be dearly missed from among our ranks.  Be at Ease.  Rest in Peace.

Steve,  so sorry to hear of your dad's passing.  You will be in our thoughts and prayers. We have many fond memories of our Halliburton days.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the Wooten family, at this time. We have all been blessed, just to know Dan, and the love he had for the lost, and the sick. When it came to Dan's love for his Lord and Savior Jesus, Brother Dan was never at a loss for words. He will always be remembered by our family, as a man who truly loved the Lord God with all his heart. We are blessed for having known Dan. We rejoice as so many are in the peace that we have in knowing, that Dan has walked the walk, and is now walking with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, forever!

I was so very sad to hear of Dan's passing. For as long as I can remember, he always had a big smile and a sincere hello each time I came home for a visit. Whenever I was in Bossier on Christmas Eve I always looked for him at the candlelight service so that I could get my Christmas hug. Somehow he always helped me feel like I had come home. My deepest sympathy to the entire family. He will be missed.
