Services for Mrs. Carol Jean Bell Allis will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at Believer’s Worship Center, 6068 LA 3, Benton, LA 71006, with Pastor Amy Hollis officiating. There will be a visitation hour with the family at 2 PM, followed by a memorial service at 3 PM.
Carol Jean (Nannie) was born March 15, 1943, in Kosciusko, MS, and entered her eternal rest December 16, 2024, in Bossier, LA.
Carol was raised in Ethel, Mississippi, and attended Ethel High School and then went on to college at The University of Southern Mississippi, which she remained a fan of till her final days! She was a home ec major and reminded and shared her knowledge with others all her life. She was an avid reader, collected houses, enjoyed mysteries, and loved her Dr. Pepper and The Guiding Light. After her marriage to Max Allis, they moved to Shreveport, LA, where she took pride in raising her children and helping run the JB Bookshop. She was extremely excited to become a grandmother, and she became Nannie to her own grandchildren as well as all their friends!
Carol is survived by one daughter, Tami Sisemore, and her husband, Bobby; granddaughter, Celeste Mora and her husband Dallas; grandson, Noah Sisemore; brother, Howard Bell Jr.; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Howard Bell and Mrs. Dorothy Bell; her sister, Mrs. Dorothy Faye Sisney and husband Harold; her husband, Max Allis; her son, Mickey Allis; her niece, Liz Sisney; and her grandson, Jeremiah Sisemore.
