Ashlyn Brooke Pyles

Ashlyn Brooke Pyles, 26, was born in Shreveport, LA on March 20, 1997 and she went to be with the Lord on August 30, 2023. Ashlyn resided at Holy Angels and adored her time there. During her stay she was also known as “Tootie” and “Mumu” (short for Mulan). She enjoyed her friends, watching movies, going on nature walks around Holy Angels, and loved being held. Ashlyn was a light in everyone’s eyes; her smile, although rare, was truly heartwarming.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Major D. and Kinue Pyles.

Ashlyn is survived by her mother, Melissa Pyles; father and stepmother, Ronald and Mary Pyles; sister, Madison and husband Zachariah Lester; brother, Joshua Pyles; maternal grandparents, Paul and Pauline Smith; aunt, Dena and husband Warren Johnson; uncle, Ernest and wife Elaine Pyles; as well as numerous cousins.

Services will be held to celebrate the life of Ashlyn Brooke Pyles at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home in Haughton, LA. Brother Randy Harper will be officiating the service. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. until service time.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Pyles, Zachariah Lester, Matthew Johnson, Craig Ginther, Warren Johnson and David Smith.

The family would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to everyone at Holy Angels for the compassionate care they offered Ashlyn and all other residents.
