He was born in Frankfurt, Germany, December 2, 1960, son of the late William Edward Richardson, Sr., and the late Emma L. Linden Richardson. As a believer in Christ he attended Hilltop Church of Fuquay Varina. Bill served honorably in the United States Army for 11 years which included being in the Gulf War and he also worked in the Information Technology Department of Pepsi Bottling Ventures. He was an avid Oklahoma Sooners fan, which he made sure everyone knew.
Besides his wife Beth, he is survived by his daughter, Michelle Barbour and her husband Oliver of North Carolina, his sons, Daniel Richardson of North Carolina and Joshua Richardson and his wife Katie of Arkansas; his grandchildren, Charlie and Zada Jane; his sisters, Margie Davis of Oklahoma and Christel Novak of Ohio, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Nancy Callanan.
A memorial celebration of Bill's life will be held Sunday July 14, 2024 at Hilltop Church 10212 Fayetteville Road, Fuquay Varina, NC 27526. The family will receive friends from 2:00-2:45 pm with service to follow at 3:00 p.m. The family will receive friends Tuesday July 16, 2024 from 10 am until 11 am at Coffey Funeral Home in Harrogate, TN with funeral service to follow at 11 am in the Chapel. The body will be laid to rest at the Harrogate Cemetery in Harrogate, Tennessee with Military Honors following the service.
