Junior Elbert Massengill

Junior Elbert Massengill, age 86, of Harrogate, TN passed away at his home on Sunday Morning, April 8, 2018. Junior was born in Claiborne County on July 3, 1931, went to Michigan for work and moved back home in 1970.

He retired from American General after 30 years. He loved fishing, golfing, bowling and enjoying his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Jessie and Cora (Surber) Massengill; Brother: Cecil Massengill; Son-in-laws: Lawrence A. Lankford, Jr. and Wayne Blakemore.

Survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Bennie (Fultz) Massengill; Daughters: Donna Blakemore, Brenda (David) Bolton and Linda Lankford; Grandchildren: Kevin (Mary) Bolton, Kellie Bolton, Crystal Bolton and Tonya (Nick) Nash; Great Grandchildren: Ethan and Emma Bolton, Gracie, Colson & Carter Nash and Step-Great Grandson, Jadon Hopkins. Sister, Zella (Buster) Greene; Brothers: Roy (Linda) Massengill of Texas and Joe (Judy) Massengill of North Carolina and a host of family and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Visitation: Tuesday April 10th from 4 until 7 PM at Pump Springs Baptist Church
