Janet Peters Zachary

Janet Sue Peters Zachary, 58 passed away October 25th 2018. She was born September 13, 1960 in Middlesboro , Kentucky. She was a life time member of the Shawanee Baptist Church. She graduated from Powell Valley High School and Lincoln Memorial University. She taught Kindergarten for many years at Ellen Myers Elementary School and served as the Reading Coach and “ Read to be Ready” coach for Claiborne County for the past five years.

She was proceeded in death by her father Clifford Peters, of Harrogate. She is survived by her Husband Thomas Q. Zachary; Mother Beulah Burnettia Fultz Peters; Brother Dan (Tammy) Peters; Sister, Lorri Peters Kimbrough; nephews, Joshua, Justin(Linda) and Jared Peters; nieces, Rachel and Jesee Kimbrough, and special life friends Dr. Linda Keck and Dr. John Michael Robertson, all of Harrogate, special family friend Tom Hopkins, of Sneedville; and a host of other family and friends.

A Memorial Celebration of life will be on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at the Shawanee Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 4-7pm and the service will begin at 7:00pm Music will be provided by Joshua Peters. In Lieu of flowers please make donations to the Pat Summit Foundation for Alzheimer’s.
