Clifford J Simmons

Clifford Jackson (CJ) Simmons, devoted husband and father went to be with the Lord on February 20, 2019. He was preceded in death by his Father: Fayette, mother Okla, his brother Jerry Thomas, sister Helen Cappola, wife Opal and daughter Kimberly Simmons. C.J. retired from the U.S. Army in 1973 after 20 years of honorable service which included being in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was an active member of Harrogate First Baptist Church for 40 years and Chairman of The Deacons for over 20 years. He leaves behind a large loving family that includes his daughter Mary Beth Richardson and son Thomas, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 .M. until 1:00 P.M. Saturday February 23, 2019 at Coffey Funeral Home in Harrogate, TN with funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Coffey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial in the Harrogate Cemetery.
