Stella Mae Knisley Shifflett, 97, of Waynesboro, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was born on September 30, 1925, and was the daughter of the late Peter F. and Fannie F. Rexroad Knisley.
Stella was an avid BINGO player and through the years made many friends at Shenandoah Acres Campground.
She was married to Lloyd E. Shifflett, who preceded her in death on December 23, 1993. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Michael and Richard E. Shifflett.
She is survived by a daughter, Sue Whitsel (Dirk) of Stuarts Draft; her sons, Robert Shifflett (Renee) of Weyers Cave, Tommy Shifflett (Lori) of Harrisonburg and Roger Shifflett of Waynesboro; ten grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 2 pm, Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Pleasant Valley Church of the Brethren Cemetery, in Weyers Cave, with Pastor Chris Riddle officiating. The casket will be closed.
The family will receive friends at the church social hall following the service.
