Ruth Rohrbaugh Hoffnagle

She was born in York, PA on November 4, 1928 and was the daughter of the late Paul R. and Frances Warfel Rohrbaugh.

Ruth graduated from William Penn Sr. High School and lived in York, PA, but moved to Harrisonburg where she has lived for the last 52 years. She was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church and before retiring, worked at Hughes Pharmacy for 30 years. She was an avid golfer and worked the election polls for 45 years.

On January 3, 1946, she married John H. Hoffnagle, Jr., who survives.

She is also survived by a son, John H. Hoffnagle, III and wife, Bess of Portsmouth; a daughter, Joni Ann Hoffnagle of Tampa, FL; two grandchildren, Brandi Noffsinger and John H. Hoffnagle, IV; two great-grandchildren, Kyle Turner and Tanner Noffsinger; and a sister, Helen Stuck of York, PA.

She was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM, Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Otterbein United Methodist Church with Rev. James Grogan and Rev. Glen Langston officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Otterbein United Methodist Church, Harrisonburg Rescue Squad, or Rockingham Memorial Hospital, in her memory.
