Elizabeth Gregory Breen

She was born in Crewe, VA, in 1927 and was the daughter of the late Thomas Hutcheson and Sally Easley Gregory.

Elizabeth lived her early life in Crewe, VA, and graduated from Crewe High School and Madison College (now JMU). She taught at Waterman School before joining her husband in business at Willowbank for thirty-six years. She was a member of Harrisonburg Baptist Church where she served on the Diaconate, taught Sunday school and served on other committees. She also volunteered her time in many other ways.

On June 14, 1948 she married Robert Macleoud Breen, who preceded her in death on May 8, 1992.

She is survived by two daughters, Robin Breen Johnson of Fairfax, and Susan Anne Breen of Leesburg; three grandchildren, Alexis Michelle Johnson, Meredith Anne McCurry, and Ryan Gregory Breen; and one great-grandson, Kevin Michael McCurry.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Easley Richards and Mary Catherine Roseberry and a brother, Thomas Harold Gregory.

The family will receive friends 10:30 until Noon today (Monday), September 2, at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.

A graveside service will immediately follow the visitation at Woodbine Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Wright officiating.
