Timothy "Tim" Joseph Marsico

Timothy J. “Tim” Marsico, 67, of Lower Paxton Township, unexpectedly passed away on December 11, 2023. He was born on April 17, 1956, to the late Samuel A. “Rip” and Mary E. (Schroll) Marsico. He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Maryann (Pyzikiewicz), daughter, Michelina, and husband, Garrett Fellman; brothers, Ronald S. and wife, Elaine, of Lower Paxton; Samuel Q. of Lower Paxton, and Michael A., and wife, Renee, of Philadelphia; brother and sister-in-law, William and Lauren Pyzikiewicz of Port St. Lucie, FL.; beloved grandpups and grand-turtle, Maximus Augustus, Copper Whopper, and Bella; nieces, Kelly, Marisa, Martina, Dana and Angela; nephews, Wayde, Anthony, and Christopher, as well as his great nieces and nephews, extended family, chosen family, and many friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Francis A. Marsico. He is a 1974 graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School and attended Harrisburg Area Community College. He was the owner of Atlantis Mortgage Company Inc. for 35 years, was the manager and self identified “babysitter” of the Sons and Daughters of Italy Lodge #2857, in Colonial Park for over a decade, as well as the owner of many rental properties throughout the years. Tim sponsored and coached a little league All-Star baseball team in 1994 and 1995 and helped coach the Lawnton basketball team, which won the league championship in1992. He was also a volunteer coach for St. Margaret Mary’s school track team from 2004-2008. Tim was a generous and charitable man. He orchestrated various fundraisers to the St. Francis soup kitchen as well as to other organizations and individuals in need. He helped out every year for the Heroes Grove Golf Fundraiser in Teddy Mazia’s name and with the Bernard L. Coates Jr. Foundation. During his daughter’s time there, he spent almost as much time as she did at St. Margaret Mary School through various roles such as honorary “lunch mom.” Additionally, he was an active volunteer on numerous political campaigns throughout the years. He was a father figure and “brother-from-another-mother” to many. He was dedicated to his community and family and would give you the shirt off his back. He was stubborn, but he had a heart of gold. Tim’s daughter was the light of his life, and he was, fortunately, able to walk her down the aisle this past September. Tim excelled at football during his time at McDevitt, stayed a life-long supporter, and was a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan. Despite being tone deaf, Tim loved to sing all kinds of music from Motown to the Rolling Stones. He loved golfing with his friends and a good game of bocce. He loved to travel, ideally with his wife, especially if there was a casino nearby (luck was usually on his side!) He could always point you in the correct direction, either physically or figuratively. He will be remembered by his brothers for the salami in his pockets (and half eaten donuts in his sock drawer). He will be missed endlessly by his wife, despite their opposing political views, and by his daughter, who is proud to possess many positive characteristics of her father, as well as few of his quirks. His nieces and nephews will miss their “cool, long-haired, guitar playing” uncle; and his pseudo-daughters from the SDOI will miss him for his less than ideal organizational tactics and constant support of them To know Tim, was to love him. He was not always clear with his words, but his actions said it all, proving time and time again, his saying of, “relax, I will take care of it.” He would never say “goodbye”, it was always “see you later.” He will be greatly missed by all and his legacy will live on. . . A public visitation will be December 19, 2023, at 6:00 pm, at Neill Funeral Home (3501 Derry St. Harrisburg, PA, 17111). In lieu of flowers, a donation could be made to the charity of your choice in Tim’s memory. Tim’s family would like to thank the dedicated staff at UPMC West Shore and UPMC Harrisburg for all of their life-saving measures, their kindness, and for keeping Tim and his family as comfortable as possible during this difficult time.
