Mark Edward Finan

He was born August 20, 1957, in Akron, OH. He later moved to Harrisburg, PA, where he retired from the PA Turnpike Commission in 2021.

He was the son of the late James and Betty (Cochran) Finan; and preceded in death by his son, James Patrick Finan.

Surviving are his three daughters, Mary Roycroft, Elizabeth Sweigart (Chris) and Katherine Bower(Corey and 2 children); son, Matthew Finan; stepson, Nicolas Kohn; stepdaughter, Tara Trapnell (Mike Schroth and daughter) grandsons Benjamin, Harrison, and new baby Sweigart; and sister, Mary Jo Finan.

Mark was a member of the St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Catholic Church where he volunteered with the Knights of Columbus and St. Michael's Guard. He was an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous and was proud of his 13 years of sobriety.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 2800 Paxton Church Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17110. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery. A viewing will be from 10:00 AM, Saturday, until the time of the service at the church.
