She was born September 9, 1956, in Venezuela, the daughter of the late Guiseppe and Rosaria (Boschelli) Ippolito; and preceded in death by 2 sons, Luis Brito and Jorge “Jose” Toro.
She is survived by her husband, Rafael E. Toro; 2 sons, Luis and Rafael Toro, 3 daughters, Rosaria Sanchez, Michelle and Catherine Toro. 17 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; a sister and best friend, Gemma Neve. 5 brothers, Pasquale, Mario, Vicente, Miguel Ippolito and Luis Pugliese.
Jean retired as a translator patient advocate for Hamilton Health Center and a former employee of the Spanish Speaking Center and a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
She was a beloved and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and wife, who found most joy in spending time with them. One of the strongest, bravest, patient, and understanding woman one would ever meet. She has touched many lives and has helped countless people, always willing to lend a hand, ear, or shoulder to anyone. All whom had the pleasure to come in contact with her, were blessed to learn many valuable lessons about life. Jean was known for her infectious smile, good humor, and her kind and compassionate spirit.
Viewings will be held on Friday, May 25, 2018, 7:00-9:00 pm, and Saturday, May 26, 2018, from 9:30-10:30am in Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am, on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1439 Market St., Harrisburg; followed by burial at Resurrection Cemetery.
