Georgetta “Jetta” E. Hartman, 64, of Harrisburg, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2013 in the Harrisburg Hospital; she was born April 24, 1949 in Harrisburg; she was the daughter of the late Harry and Eva Hare.
She retired as a committee secretary for the PA House of Representatives; and graduated from John Harris High School, class of 1968. She was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church and the American Legion Post 28 Ladies Auxiliary, Millsboro, DE.
Jetta lived life to the fullest and she surrounded herself with family and friends. She enjoyed the beach, traveling and Penn State football.
Surviving is her husband of 43 years, Jesse H. Hartman; son, Doug Hartman, wife, Jill; 2 daughters, Tina Malachi and Nicole Bell, husband, Josh, all of Harrisburg; 2 sisters, Carol Thrush, husband, Dave and Harriet Paul, husband, Jim; 3 brothers, Carl Hare, wife, Linda, Greg Hare, wife, Karen, and David Hare, wife, Maria, all of Harrisburg; 6 grandchildren, Aaron, Tyler, Darren, Kylie, Sage and Braydon, and future grandson Bryce George; and 2 great-grandchildren, Aareley and Aaveair.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1:00 PM Friday, August 16, 2013 in Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 6150 Allentown Blvd, Harrisburg. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
A viewing will be held from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm Thursday, August 15, 2013 in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St, Harrisburg. A prayer service will be held at 8:30 pm at the funeral home.
