George W. Eddy, Jr., 85, of Harrisburg, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Harmony Home, Mechanicsburg.

He was born July 1, 1934 in Plymouth; he was the son of the late George W. and Marie (Wentzel) Eddy Sr.

He was a retired corporal for the PA State Police Troop H for 37 years and a U.S. Army veteran.

George is survived by his wife of 57 years, Bernadine; his children, Sharon Eddy, David Eddy and wife, Jarinporn (Oui) Eddy, Steven Eddy and Cynthia Eddy Covaleski; and the joys of his life, his grandchildren, Alex Covaleski, Amanda Covaleski, Leah Covaleski, Arthur Eddy and Andrew Eddy; and his sister, Deborah Moran.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12:00 PM Friday, October 25, 2019 at St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, 4000 Derry St., Harrisburg. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 11:00 AM Friday until the time of the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to PA State Police Historical Educational and Memorial Center, 187 E. Hershey Park Dr., Hershey, PA 17033.
