Betty A. Thornton, 71, of Harrisburg passed away Wednesday July 1, 2015 at home. Born February 18, 1944 in Dauphin to the late George and Agnes (Miller) Garman.
Preceded in death by her companion Curt K. Whitcomb and a brother George.
Betty was a member of Christ Community Church, Mechanicsburg. She enjoyed listening to Elvis Music and watching the king’s movies, also a big collector of Elvis memorabilia and teddy bears. Her biggest joy was spending time with her family.
Surviving are her daughter Crystal L. Lex and husband Gordon of Harrisburg; two sons Harry M. Bixler Jr. of Shermansdale; Daniel A. and wife Monika Bixler of Riverview Florida; two sisters Carol and Marsha both of Harrisburg; six grandchildren and four great- grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday July 8, 2015 in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry Street Harrisburg Pa. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1:00 pm to time of service.
