Mr. Joe Gomez Sanchez Sr. went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday July 27, 2020 at the age of 77 years old. Mr. Sanchez was born July 4, 1943, in Hanford, CA to Esequiel and Guadalupe Sanchez.
Mr. Sanchez met and married the love of his life Lupe Canel in 1968. Together they resided in Lemoore, California and had five children. Mr. Sanchez was a firm believer for standing up for what was right and marched along side with Cesar Chavez, and getting the farmers union benefits. Mr. Sanchez was also a devoted church member of St. Peter's church in Lemoore, CA for many years. He helped with starting the Crucillista, and was instrumental in starting the Spanish masses for Lemoore and was a Eucharistic minister for the church. He was a wonderful provider for his family and worked with Contadina / Del Monte for over 30 years,
Mr. Joe Sanchez Sr. is survived by his loving wife Lupe Sanchez of 51 years his 5 children Esequiel Sanchez, Elsa Gaytan, Roman Sanchez, Joe Sanchez Jr., Irene Sanchez his daughter in laws and son in laws Gina Sanchez, Danny Gaytan Sr., Lisa Prieto, Shannon Furtado, and McArthur Willis, 2 siblings John Sanchez, Virgie Molano. 22 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren numerous nieces and nephews and many who called him grandpa Joe.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father Esequiel and Guadalupe Sanchez his sisters Connie, Rosie, Sadie, Mary his brother Pete Sr. and granddaughter Aliyah Sanchez.
