Henry James Randolph, 77, of Hanford, California, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2024, at Community Regional Medical Center. Born in Santa Monica, California, on November 13, 1946, to the late Henry James Randolph and Rosebud Mary Randolph, Henry was raised in Venice, where he attended Los Angeles County schools. He later earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration and went on to serve his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps and then the Army, dedicating 20 years before retiring with an honorable discharge.
Following his military service, Henry spent 19 years with the California Department of Corrections, where his colleagues admired his dedication, caring nature, and worry-free outlook. Outside of work, he enjoyed a life rich with passions. Henry was an avid golfer, a jazz enthusiast, and an explorer of coding and computers. He treasured evenings on his back porch, where he prayed with his Bible and coffee in hand, often sharing his steadfast faith with the words, “God is in control.” Known for his calm presence, Henry was also fond of a good smoke, savoring the peaceful moments in life.
Henry was a devoted family man, loved and respected by all who knew him. He is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Christine Randolph, his two sisters, two sons, one daughter, numerous grandchildren, a great granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews. Henry was preceded in death by his parents.
To those who knew him, Henry will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his calm outlook, and his ever-present smile. He had a knack for finding peace in life’s moments and was known for saying, "It’s all good in the neighborhood" or simply, "Blessed," when asked how he was. His favorite phrases, fondly remembered as "Henry-isms," included “Don’t worry about it,” “It is what it is,” and “God is in control.”
Family and friends are warmly invited to share memories and celebrate the life of a man who left a lasting legacy of kindness, resilience, and faith.
