Deborah Ann Camara Serrano Smoyer

Deborah was born in Hanford, California on March 30, 1954 to Clarence and Jo Camara. She attended McCarthy School and graduated from Hanford High School in 1972. Deborah married soon after high school and had two children, Larry and Danny Serrano. She worked for Pirelli Armstrong as a QA Technician and later became an LVN with the California State Prison System. She was also a very talented florist and interior designer and often did flowers for friends and family weddings. Debbie was of Catholic faith. Debbie was loved by many and she often left a lasting impression on people with her spirited attitude and sense of humor.

Deborah was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Camara in 1989, mother, Jo Camara in 1988 and son, Larry Serrano in 2011.

Deborah leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Danny Serrano and wife Rachelle of Hanford; sister, Christine Hays of Hanford; nephew, Richard Kliever and wife Cindy of Hanford; nieces, Shelly Garrett and husband Pat of Hanford and Makenzie Hays of Hanford; grandchildren, Sadie, Joey, Noah, Hannah, Danny and Presley and many extended family and friends.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at People’s Funeral Chapel; 501 N. Douty Street, Hanford, CA.
