Born on May 27, 1944 in Norfolk, Virginia, Bob was a committed family man and he worked tirelessly at Newport News Shipbuilding for 36 years. He had a great love of learning and of sharing his many interests, some of which were: dream analysis, psychology, politics, science fiction, gardening and spirituality. Although, his family was his greatest pleasure.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton P. Jones, Sr., and Stella Brickhouse and his older brother, Milton Jones, Jr. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 48 years, Sue Jones; his three children, Stephen Jones, Jeffrey Jones, and Torie Brooks; his son-in-law, Tyler Brooks and his two grandchildren, Benjamin and Nora Brooks. He also leaves behind his two younger sisters, Carolyn O’Neal and Elizabeth Brickhouse, along with many in-laws and nieces and nephews, for whom he cared deeply.
Bob leaves behind a legacy of loyalty and gentleness. His soft spoken voice, his silly jokes, his deep discussions and his love of his family, will be greatly missed. He will be greatly missed.
He was our hero.
