Julian T. Blackburn

He is preceded in death by his brother, Robert Blackburn of Fayetteville, North Carolina; and his sister, Mary Woodcock of Atkinson, North Carolina. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Blackburn; his children, Paula Campbell and Terry Blackburn; his four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Herbert Blackburn, Jr. of Petersburg, Virginia.

He was caring, tender-hearted, creatively musical, and inventive--able to fix anything with his hands. He enjoyed performing music in the country band, Arkansas Travelers, for over 26 years, and he later joined the Bluegrass Gospel group, Jericho Road.

A celebration of life service will take place on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Parklawn Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, 2551 North Armistead Avenue Hampton, VA 23666.
