Jacob Thomas “Jake” Holt, 38 was born in Tullahoma, TN on June 24, 1976, and died on July 5, 2014. He was a graduate of Wayzata High in MN and attended North Dakota College of Science and University of Wisconsin River Falls. Jake was an outstanding high school and college linebacker and holds the record at NDCS for the longest interception runback for a touchdown of 95 yards. Jake is a graduate of CNU with a BS in Business and had a short career as an insurance agent. Jake is survived by his parents Tom and Jackie Holt of Newport News, brother Nathan Holt, wife Missi Wyatt-Holt, nephews Oliver, Noah and niece Lydia of Buffalo MN, uncles and aunts Denny and Kathleen Holt of Friendswood TX, Treva and Jim Martin of Tullahoma TN, Jim and Debra Worley of Athens AL, Charlotte and Ray Weddington of McMinnville TN, Peggy and Harry Allison of FL and great cousins Mae Mae Dunn, Jan Dunn and husband Joe Pass, Mickey Dunn and wife Kathy of TN, cousins Adam Holt of TX, Jackie Ann Martin Bowling husband Jonathan of AL, Andrea Martin Maddox and husband Kent of TN, April Worley Withrow of FL, Bianca Worley of GA, Susan Scott, Ben Scott, and Cindy Hite, of TN, Jamie Worley Troncone and husband Sabin of AL, Philip Patterson and wife Sepideh Bahrami of AL, Mike Dunn and wife Kim Dunn, Mandy Dunn, Abby Dugger, Dustin Dugger of TN, and Drew Dugger of FL, many other relatives, friends and Bill. He is preceded in death by his youngest brother Eli Holt of MN, his grandparents William Edgar and Allene Holt of Lawrenceburg TN and Jim and Mickie Worley of Tullahoma TN and great grandparents Bessy Worley Gunter and Treva St. John of McMinnville TN, Edgar and Jeffy Holt, Ulysses and Della Kerr of Lawrenceburg TN and aunt and uncle Sara Holt Dunn and husband Gedy of Lawrenceburg TN. Special thanks to the Community Services Board PACT Team for their continued support and care. A memorial celebration of Jake’s life will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Hampton, 514 South Armistead Ave. Thursday July 10, 2014 at 2:30 PM Reverend Dr. Cynthia Higgins and Pastor Deborah Dail officiating.
