Estelle O Keith

Estelle O. Keith, 95, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 7, 2017. She was born in Waverly, Virginia and was a longtime resident of the Peninsula and a member of Deer Park Baptist Church. She served her country by working as a riveter in Newport News Shipyard during World War II. She later worked as a switchboard operator at Riverside Hospital.

Estelle was preceded in rest by her parents, Iris A. and Gladys Drewry O’Neal; and sisters, Pauline Forrest and Barbara O’Neal. She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis K. Fritschi (Adam) of Newport News; niece, Wanda F. Carter (Carlton) of Roanoke; nephew, Gary Forrest (Martha) of Newport News; and cousin, Cathi LeSueur (Thom) of Wakefield.

A celebration of Estelle’s life will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the funeral home. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be offered to the Peninsula SPCA, 523 J. Clyde Morris Boulevard, Newport News, VA 23601.
