I cannot tell you how many nights we laughed, joked and had some downright serious conversations during our times of working, playing & bowling at our home away from home called Circle Lanes later known as Spare Times. Don you will be missed by many and loved always. I've always considered your family, my family. Sue, Mike & Steve I'm only a phone call away. May you rest in peace Don while you await the arrivals of your family and loved ones. Enjoy your time while waiting on those arrivals. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time.  Your husband and your father was such a wonderful man.  Kind and caring are the first words that come to mind.  My father played golf with Don and I met him through their relationship.  It was only a month ago that we spoke it seems and he was optimistic that things were getting better.

So sorry for your loss.  I know he was in a lot of pain and hope you find comfort that he is no longer suffering and in your memories.  He will be missed by many.

Mike, Mrs. Smock, Steve & Family,

I'm very sorry learn of Mr. Smock's passing into eternal rest.  I pray you can find comfort in the fact that he truly is at rest with no pain or suffering.  Although we can no longer enjoy his company, his wisdom or his jokes, I hope your many memories of times together will help you find peace during this difficult time. Big Don was one of the friendliest people I have ever met.  I consider it a blessing and a privilege to be a friend of "The Original Smooth".

To Sue, Steve, Mike, Nicole & Jeff, and Family; I am so saddened, and deeply sorry for your loss.  Don was a true patriot and patriarch for his family.  He was selfless and I am honored to have had his friendship.  My memory of his genuine smile and kindness is something the family can embrace in their hearts.
His selfless service to his country, family, friends, near and far will leave as his dedicated gift to our world to cherish and aspire to.  Pride with his family; I pray that he will continue to guide you through this most difficult time.
He will be missed by everyone privileged to know him. 
  TWO Bronze Stars are only the beginning of what Don gave the USA, and his family especially can turn to when thinking about all his highest achievements while here on this Earth. He will now continue to be looking out for you, and my Prayer for him and his Family will surely be answered.
