Peacefully passed away at his residence with his family by his side on October 9, 2013 in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of 60 years to Eva. Loving father to Victor (Brenda), Judi Smith (Jim), Debi Granger. Proud Grandfather to Krista, Katherine, Brandon, Patrick and Douglas. Great Grandfather to Reese and Rylee. Dear brother of Margaret, Ernie, Charlie and Carol. Predeceased by brothers Jack, Kenny, Harold, Clarence, Norm, Joseph, Stan and Ron, sisters Queenie, Barbara, Hilda, Dorothy and son in law Doug Granger. Victor was a retired employee of Dofasco Security, longtime member of the Tuscan Lodge and the Hamilton Shrine Club. Special thanks to Dr. Ludwin and the nephrology staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Markey Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Saturday October 12, 2013 at 2 p.m. In keeping with Victor’s wishes cremation has already taken place. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers donations to your favorite charity would be appreciated.
