It is with profound sadness to announce the passing of Valdi John Buttignon at home surrounded by his family on Saturday September 2, 2023 in his 77th year.
Valdi will be deeply missed by his loving wife Eva of 52 years. Devoted father to Amanda (Michael), Eva Alexandra (Mo) and Andrea (Phil). Adoring Nonno to Gabriella, Anthony, Ewan and Luke. Will be dearly missed by his extended family in Italy.
In their youth, Valdi and Eva could be found dancing the night away every weekend. Following the birth of his 3 beautiful daughters, Val was an unconditional supporter of their endeavors. He was an avid sports fan, watching Juventus and the Blue Jays. Val loved taking his grandchildren to Blue Jay games and to his favourite spots in Toronto. He could be seen driving everywhere in his sports car. Valdi’s sense of humour and smile will be forever missed by his family and friends.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Eugene’s Parish, 232 Queenston Road, Hamilton, on Friday September 8 at 11am.
