Robert James Jenkins

He was the third son of Mary Jane Van Every and Robert James Jenkins, predeceased by brothers Franklin, Clifford and Lyle. At his side, his wife of 65 years, Jeanette (Jan) nee Austin along with his daughters Nicole (Rick)Van Leeuwen, Robyn (Brian) Van Leeuwen, and Regan (Nelson) Fiuza. Bob retired after 44 years of Stelco to enjoy his grandsons Christopher and Joshua Martinelli, and Hunter Comeau. A member of the Elks Lodge for many years assisting with Bingo games and later an avid bowler till his health failed. He also spent many hours at Burkholder United Church keeping things in order and assisting with the ESL group. Bob loved gardening, Port Elgin vacations yearly and the many friends and family we joined there. Special thanks to Dr. Lisa Palubiski, PSW Max and the St. Joseph’s Home Care nursing staff. Visitation will be held at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue E. Hamilton on Monday, October 21, 2024 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 1pm. In lieu of flowers donations to Niemannpickcanada.org or Toronto Sick Kids Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
