Mary Rees

Peacefully at Macassa Lodge, Mary left us to join her beloved husband Joseph (2010) and their cherished daughter Susan (2000). Mary was the loving mother of five sons and their spouses, Dennis (Monica), John (Shelley), Richard (Colleen), Chuck (Lori) and Brian (Karen). Cherished grandmother of 12 grandchildren and Great Mary to 6 great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her brother and sister in law Gord and Maureen Cotton and their “Cotton Club Crew”. Sister in law to Charlie Rees, Ernie Rees and Carol Mossey, Marina Rees, Alice Rees, Eva Rees and many nieces and nephews. Mary was a founding member of Sesemar Ladies Shrine Club and cherished her friendships with Marjorie Williams and Lillian Watson, “The Three Amigos” and members of I.O.D.E. She enjoyed her fun times with her “K-Mart breakfast ladies”. Our special thank you to the staff at Macassa Lodge for the kind, compassionate, loving and outstanding care that our mother received. Family and friends are welcome to visitation at the Markey Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Tuesday from 6-9pm, where the Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday June 3, 2015 at 11am. Interment at Chapel Hill cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers donations in Mary’s memory to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation would be greatly appreciated .
