With great sadness, the family announces the passing of Marjorie Cooper on Monday October 01, 2018 as a result of a fall at home. Marjorie leaves her beloved daughters Johann (Bill Fallis), Nancy (Brian Hay) and Miriam (Brad Davis) and granddaughters Jane, Maeve and Nina. Predeceased by husband Joe Cooper in 1996 and brother Norman Howard (Anna) in 2018.
Marjorie was a graduate of the Hamilton General School of Nursing (1945) and McGill University (1947). She was a long and faithful member of Barton Stone United Church in Hamilton.
Marjorie lived a long life fiercely independent and keenly astute; enjoying her family, garden and home right until the end. She passed with her three daughters by her side and will be deeply missed by all who knew her warm gentleness and quiet strength.
A special thank you to the nurses and staff in the ICU at Hamilton General Hospital for their outstanding care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the charity of your choice is appreciated. A private family service will be held and cremation has taken place.
