Marija Perlic

Passed away suddenly on November 17, 2019 at the age of 68 at the Hamilton General Hospital.

Marija was a devoted wife and mother.

She leaves behind her husband of 51 years Ivan, her sons Zeljko (Tracy), and Johnny. Grandsons Noah and Ethan. Her niece Nada (Drago) Jelic, Ivica (Andrea) Jelic, Drago (Sandra) Jelic, & Nada (Tom) Radman, her nephew Nik (Irene) Perlic as well as many more family and friends in Australia and her native Croatia. Marija came to Canada with her husband and son in 1975. She was a devoted employee of Voortmans in Burlington as Quality Control, retiring after 30 dedicated years. Maria was known for her sense of humour, and her selflessness, no favour was too much for her to fulfill. She will be dearly missed by all.

Friends may visit the Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Thursday, November 21, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Catholic Church, 1883 King Street East on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Cemetery, 681 Mud Street East, Stoney Creek. If desired, donations to Holy Cross Parish would be appreciated.
