Margaret Mary Shields

Margaret peacefully passed away while surrounded by her family. She was pre-deceased by her loving husband Phillip Shields and is lovingly survived by her children Philip Shields Jr (Nancy), Michael Shields (Lynda), Ron Shields (Mary), Russell Shields, Teresa Shewell (Tom), Mary Parke, Kathleen Jackson and Chris Shields (Rob), her loving sister Mary Liberty, along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and numerous relatives in Scotland. Born in Scotland, she met and married Phil and their first son was born. They immigrated to Hamilton in 1954 and raised 8 children. Margaret was a lifetime Celtics football club supporter and a huge Maple Leafs fan. The family will receive friends for a Celebration of Life at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave. E., on Friday, October 19th from 5 p.m. until time of service at 6 p.m. in the chapel. Refreshments to be served after. The family wish to thank the caring staff at Juravinski Hospital.
