Dearest Lynda,
 No matter what cards were dealt to you in life, you somehow managed to pick them up and handle them all, the good,the bad and the ugly, with much grace and dignity. Although you more than had the right to do it, you never complained about anyone or anything.  You did a great job raising Tracey and Mark on your own as a single parent with little or no help from anyone.  Whenever you were asked to do something, I always knew I could count on you to be there for me. I have always been proud to call you my sister.
Your illness was taking quite the toll on you and I hated to see you suffer this past several months. The battle is now over and now it is your time to rest in peace.  I know for sure you are in a much better place.

Lynda Hamilton will always be remembered by myself and colleagues in 20 Hunter St. Central Office as one of the most pleasant and competent persons who ever worked at the Main St, C.O. She always had a quick wit and sense of humour that help take the edge off of difficult situations. She will be missed by all who knew her.
