Peacefully passed away, surrounded by her family, at the Clarion Nursing Home on January 24, 2015 at the age of 91. Predeceased by her husband Ignac in 1944. Loving mother of Ignac and his wife Marica. Cherished grandmother of Suzanne and Miro Kutlesa, Michele and Frank Pozega, and great-grandmother of Adrianna, Lily, Marcus, Philip and Olivia. Survived by sisters-in-law Marica and Franca Domjancic. Predeceased by brothers and sisters in Canada and Croatia. Katica will be missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends in Canada and Croatia. Special thanks to the staff of Clarion Nursing Home for their care and support. Visitation at MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. with Vigil Prayers at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Church, 1883 King Street East, on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In Katica’s memory, donations to Holy Cross Church or St. Maria Pomocnica Krscana, in Ceglji, Croatia, would be appreciated.
