Jane Eleanor Mitton

Dearly beloved wife for almost 53 years of the late Russell (1995). Cherished mother of Brian (Katherine), Jane, Tom (Brenda), Sandra, Rob and Sharon (Cosmo). Dear grandmother of Tim, Kimberly, Kevin, Jason (Beccy), Jennifer, Julie, Steven (Marlee), Jeff (Kristin), Christine (Joey), Katie (Brennan), Andrea, Russell, Sarah and Emily. Precious GG to McKenna, Reagan, Logan, Noah, Millie, Stevie, Alice, Freddie, Weston and Jackson. Predeceased by sons-in-law Jimmy and Terry. She will be remembered by her extended family and friends.

Eleanor was a lifelong fan of baseball. She enjoyed watching games in her youth with her father at Victoria Park in Hamilton and loved the Toronto Blue Jays. Always the life of the party, Eleanor loved playing card games, especially with her grandchildren.

Special thanks to the staff at St. Joseph's Villa for their compassion and wonderful care over the last six years. They were extended family to us and created a warm home for her there.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 2:00 pm at St. Joseph's Villa Chapel, 56 Governors Road, Dundas, Ontario. A private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph's Foundation would be welcome.
