My friendship with Isabel was with the Girl Guide Movement.  We had girls under our care in opposite ends of Gore Division.  But we took them week-end camping together. Isabel also became a District Commissioner.  She was a very special person - amazing and a wonderful sense of humour.  Her leadership will never be forgotten.  My condolences to her family.

I am very saddened to hear of Isabel's passing.  There are so many good memories that will stay forever with all her sisters in Guiding. Till we meet again. (o)

My friendship with Isabel began many years ago and were Sisters in Guiding; a time I will always treasure. She and I worked on many committees together and her leadership, wisdom, laughter and love of life enhanced my life and those around her.  I am truly saddened by her passing and extend my prayers to Bernice and family.

To the Family of Isabel: We have truly lost a great teacher and friend in Isabel. She was my teacher from 1971 - 73. I got to know her better as I returned every 5 years for our reunion. Isabel's smiling face was always there, along with Karen Martin. Our reunions will not be the same without her. I had the opportunity to visit with her last year and for this I am grateful. I worked with Isabel as a fellow nursing instructor at Chedoke Campus for many years.  She was an amazing person who always made time for students.  She encouraged and simplified nursing to help them learn & understand the profession.  She was a great role model to her colleagues. She would always help out and guide others when needed,  drawing from her vast knowledge and experience.  
She had a fabulous sense of humor.  I will never forget the great laughs we would have during our lunch hours.    She made a real mark in this world!

I am so sorry to hear of Isabel's passing. My condolences to the family. Although I never had Isabel as one of my nursing instructors, she was always a wonderful resource and one to encourage. She has always been there for us, either as a teacher/mentor as we were students or as a constant with the wonderful Alumni we are so fortunate to be a part of. She will always have a special place in the hearts of many of us and will always be remembered. Isabel, may you rest in peace as your  work here is now finished.

I worked with Isabel for several years at St. Joseph's Campus and then at Chedoke Campus of Mohawk College.  She was a constant source of fun and laughter and I have many warm memories of her.  I am sorry that I cannot be with you today, but please know that I am thinking of Isabel's family and friends. She will be missed by so many!

We have all lost a wonderful person in Isabel.   Those young girls and woman who were guided by Isabel over the years will have wonderful memories of her.  Her quiet, reassuring way, I am sure has left an impression.  She has been a wonderful role model, leader and friend to so many.   Rest in peace, Isabel.

To the family of Isabel..I remember Miss Kerr from 1965 to 1968 when I was a student Nurse at St Joseph's Hospital. She was only just a little older than we were .She was professional and never tired of answering our questions. Miss Kerr expected us to give our patients the best of Nursing Care..because our patients deserved the best.. AND,also, because she BELIEVED we could do it.~~ Miss Kerr you encouraged so many young women and girls to reach for the stars...And now you are the brightest star of all.. We are so sorry to learn of Isabel's passing.  We were privileged to work with Isabel at the Chedoke Campus of Mohawk College Nursing.  We will always remember Isabel's infectious laugh and will cherish her memory and the time we spent with her.

The news of Isabel's passing truly saddened me Friday and my sincere condolences go out to her family.  During my early adult years as a Guider/trainer, Isabel was someone I looked forward to chatting with at Provincial and Area events - for common sense guidance, for humour, and just for her genuine caring about people.  It always amazed me how she always remembered who you were, what you were up to in Guiding, and a personal bit of info about you.  Guiding has lost a beautiful human being and mentor far too early.  Enjoy the next phase, Isabel, and don't forget to keep all the ladies in blue up there in line, but having fun at the same time.  Thank you for everything - we will truly miss you.

I am so sorry for your loss selena. Isabel was my friend for over 66 years. we met in grade 6. I even lived with the kerr family for a few months in 1956. I came back to California at first snow. I kept in touch through e-mails dayly with Isabel. she was 3 months older than me. I live in Alberta, we grew up together on Hunter Street, our family's were best friends, Isabel's Mom was like a second Mom to my Brothers & myself, I las saw her in 1994, at my brother's funeral, my maiden name was Peggy Hall I am so sorry for your loss

Isabel was a special lady.  Kind, generous, forthright.  A truly loyal member of St. Joseph's School of Nursing (Hamilton) Alumnae.  I was proud to be her Director of the School of Nursing, 1957 - 1960.

I remember Isobel as a fun loving person who loved her job as teacher and was a wonderful mentor to so many students at St. Joe's.  She will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her.  Rest in peace.

I was saddened to hear of Isabel's passing. She was a wonderful Guider and in her position of Provincial Commissioner for the Province of Ontario she made many friends and supported many women within the organization.  She was truly an inspiration to us. My thoughts are with her family and friends.

One definition of a hero is a person admired for outstanding qualities or achievements. Heaven has a new angel tonight. Isabel Kerr was a registered nurse and for a great many years she was a teacher of nursing at Mohawk college. Even with only those two professions she touched the lives of thousands. What makes her even more remarkable is that in her free time she gave of herself to the Girl Guides of Canada and rose to be in provincial leadership. She taught not only girls but woman to be leaders to be strong and self assured. She has touched the lives of tens of thousands of people in one way or another. Heaven has a new angel and she certainly ranks among the heroes.

I am very saddened by the news of Isabel's passing.  She was a good friend and a loyal supporter of Girl Guides of Canada, Ontario Council.  Many will have very fond memories of Isabel. She was a very thoughtful and caring friend to all that crossed her path.  May she rest in peace.
