Gerald Lloyd McKinnell

Jerry will be lovingly remembered by his wife Joanne of 61 years. Beloved father to Stephen (Linda), Janice Peters (Ron), Kevin and Sandra. Adored grandfather to Drew (Jordan), Jade, Erin and Joeilin. Great grandfather to Garrett. Loving brother to Murray (Donna-predeceased) , Ross (Carol) and brother-in-law to Sandy Baker (Gerry-predeceased). Predeceased by his parents Ralph and Marie McKinnell. Jerry started his first job with Stanley Steel in 1958 and became the Credit Manager and retired in 1997. Went back to work as a consultant for Argo Steel & Pointe Claire Steel. Also in his spare time volunteered on the Condo Board at Twenty Place for 20 years. He married his wife Joanne (nee Baker) in 1962. Together they started a family and moved to Binbrook. Jerry loved the country life and enjoyed gardening. He loved to go camping with Joanne up in Haliburton Wildlife. He loved fishing, horseshoes and playing cards with the kids and one of his favourite past times was counting his money. The family would like to thank the Nurses, Doctors and staff on the F3 medical floor for all the care that Jerry received at the hospital.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue E. on Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 1pm-4pm. In memory of Jerry donations to Lewy Body Dementia or Alzheimer's Society will be greatly appreciated.
