I did not know Ted had passed away until I returned last night from a trip out to BC.  My thoughts are with your family, I am so very sorry for your loss.  Ted was my biggest supporter when I started my interpreting career 30 years ago and I will forever be grateful to him for that - and his crazy sense of humour.  May he rest in peace.

Daddy, I tried to prepare myself for this, but I realize now that nothing can ever prepare you for the death of a parent. You were an amazing dad, I will never forget all the goofy things you used to do to try and make me laugh. And I will never forget all the times you stopped whatever you were doing to pick me up from school or drive me somewhere, I know I never told you, but I truly did appreciate it. It's still hard to believe you're gone. But even though you can't be with us now, I know you will always be watching over us. You will always be loved, and remembered forever. Ted was such a good sense of humour and loved to joke and tease and loved to help others when others needed help. I am a chairperson for Brant County Deaf Community and he had been helped me how to run and he volunteered. He was great in many ways! He was so much fun.  "Ted, Thank you very much for helping me through BCDC when you were in Brantford.  I will miss you and my memories will always be with you. Rest in peace." For sure Ted has left a big void in my life. We shared so many family vactions together.

But most of all I will miss your warm smile.

We will miss Ted's many visits where we would play poker till all hours of the night and our movie nights and our many hours watching hockey together. It meant so much to have Ted stay with our dogs while we were away knowing Ted took care of them just as we would. They were always so happy when Ted come to visit.(we think he must of spoiled them)
We will miss the many golf tournments we attended with Ted.
You were a big part of our family Ted and we will miss you very much.
