Happily Barry was able to celebrate his 80th birthday with family and friends and the memorable photo cakes.
Sadly left to miss him now are Sue, wife of nearly 50 years, his sons and their wives: Blair and Heather, Kevin and Annemarie. Proud Papa to Emily, Owen, Alyaina and Kaius Rodgers. A chance Holiday meeting in 1972 in Torremolinos, Spain led to a life of travel throughout the world. Making and enjoying new and old friends along the journey. Golfing was a huge part of his life for 70+ years. Over 20 years of retirement from Stelco/Stelwire were also filled with many hours of curling and bowling. Barry was a huge sports fan, whether coaching his sons in baseball and hockey or showing his unwavering support to his favourite teams (the Habs, Browns, Dodgers, TiCats and Raptors). All who knew him will appreciate the knowledge that he enjoyed his last meal “Fit for a King.” As per Barry’s wishes cremation has taken place with a private family farewell.
