Passed away peacefully at Macassa Lodge with his family by his side in his 93rd year on February 12, 2010. Predeceased by his beloved wife Marion, his brother Joseph and his sister in law Jean Knox. He will be sadly missed by his daughter Linda and her husband Jim Cassidy, special family friend Kathy Saville, his loving cat Charlotte, and his nephew Gary and his wife Audrey. Fondly remembered as Grampa Bruce by Kyle, Marc and Johnny. Bruce served in WWII in the Self Propelled 19th Field Artillery Regiment and landed at Juno Beach on D-Day. The family wishes to extend their thanks to the C.C.A.C. support workers Rosemary, Martha, Vicky and Carol, all the staff at Macassa Lodge Ward 2C West for their care and support, and to Sister Patricia from St. Joseph’s Hospital. Friends may call at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME, 615 Main Street East, Hamilton on Tuesday, February 16th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will take place in the FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL on Wednesday, February 17th at 1 p.m. with interment to follow at Hamilton Cemetery.
