Anna Del Conte

Born in Vittorito, Aquila, Italy on July 13, 1929. It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of their mother and nonna Anna Del Conte (Golini) peacefully with her family by her side at the Hamilton General Hospital on Friday, March 24th, 2017 in her 88th year. Predeceased by her loving husband Gabriele (2003). Dearly loved mother of Lino (Cecilia) and Franco. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Peter, Frank, Andrew and Victoria. Sadly missed by her dear brother John Golini (Ennia). Sister-in-law of Pasquale, Vilma Del Conte, Velia and the late Antonio Del Conte, and Lucia and the late Ottovio Cialone, Francesca and the late Enrico Ciampa of Italy. Anna will be dearly missed by her many nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada, USA, and Italy. Special thanks to the staff at the Hamilton General for their dedicated care and kind, comforting words. The family will receive guests at the Markey-Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Tuesday, March 28th from 2-9 pm. Vigil prayers at 5 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Eugene’s Roman Catholic Church, 232 Queenston Road (at Parkdale) on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 10am. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
