Theodore C. Burch

Age 81 of Hamilton, passed away on Tuesday November 12, 2013 at Heartland of Mt. Airy. He was born in Reily Township on January 31, 1932, the son of the late Lawrence and Gertrude (Simpson) Burch. Theodore was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and former POW. He was past Chaplain and member of DAV Chapter 15, Butler County Veteran of the year in 2005, OKI POW Chapter, Kentucky Colonel, Purple Heart recipient, and on January 31, 2010 the mayor of Hamilton recognized this day as Ted Burch Day. He retired from Champion Paper in 1990 after 42 years of service. Ted is survived by his wife Janet (Thompson) Burch; five children and many grandchildren; two special young ladies, Danielle and Devonne Sorber. Funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday November 17, 2013 at the Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home. Visitation will be held prior to services from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the funeral home. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday at Rose Hill Burial Park. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the staff of Heartland of Mt. Airy for all their care and support.
