Karen F. Polen, age 70, of Hamilton, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Thursday, November 8, 2012. She was born in Wayland, Kentucky on November 16, 1941, the daughter of Marvin and Dorothy (Frady) Anderson. Karen graduated from Ross High School in 1959. In 1965 Karen married Richard Lee Polen and they were blessed with 43 wonderful years together until his death December 6, 2008. Karen was a member of West Side Church of Christ. Karen was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was her life. She is survived by her loving children, Greg (Andrea) Polen, Jeff (Lori) Polen, Chris Polen, Kelly (Adam) Jones, and Steve (Jamie) Polen; six beautiful grandchildren, Tyler Polen, Ashley Polen, Cameron Polen, Morgan Polen, Casey Rush, and Abby Jones; her mother, Dorothy Anderson; a sister, Gaybe (Raleigh) Campbell and two brothers, Randall (Mary Jo) Anderson and Gary (Barb) Anderson; and many caring family and friends. Karen was preceded in death by her father; her husband; and two brothers, Larry Anderson and Johnny Anderson. Funeral Services will be held at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Ave. at South “D” Street, Hamilton Tuesday, November 13th at 10:00 AM with Minister Dan Knisley officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, November 12th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
