Jan Russell Reid

Jan Russell Reid, age 78, of Fairfield, passed away in his sleep on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at his residence. He was born on May 23, 1939 in Hamilton, the son of Otto and Ethel (Farmer) Reid. Jan graduated from Hamilton High School. In June of 1958, he married Joyce Clapper. Jan was employed for more than 20 years for the city of Fairfield. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading and watching the horses at the racetrack. Jan loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 60 years; his two children, Melinda Ollberding and Van (Dana) Reid; five grandchildren, Nicholas (Lori), Nathan (Tiara), Justin, Jarret, and Jordan; three great grandchildren, Samuel, Kalae, and Ka’eo. Visitation will be held from 11am to 1pm on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home. Funeral ceremony will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at 1pm at the funeral home, with burial to follow. The family suggest contributions be made in Jan’s memory to Hospice of Hamilton, 1010 Eaton Ave, Hamilton, OH 45013 or the Alzheimer’s Association, 644 Linn St # 1026, Cincinnati, OH 45203.
