Dale L Shreve

SHREVE, Dale Leroy age 78 of Hamilton, Ohio passed away Wednesday May 25, 2022. He was born in Meadville, Pennsylvania on June 9, 1943 to Lewis Leroy Shreve and Martha Irene (Huff) Shreve. Dale graduated from Meadville High School in 1961. He marched in the Thunder Birds Drum and Bugle Corps in Meadville, PA. Dale was in the Army Security Agency from 1961 until 1964. He then married Elaine M. Beers on January 16, 1965. He worked as a plant chemist for PPG industries for 30 years and was a volunteer fireman and EMT. He was a Charter member of the Crawford County SCUBA Search and Recovery Team as well as a member of the Crawford County Planning Commission. He was very active on the Cochranton Bike Trail, and was a 4H leader for Crawford County horse and pony club for 9 years. Dale was a devoted member of The Cochranton UM Church, on the board of Westley Woods Christian Education Center, and eventually became a member of St. Marks UM Church after relocating to Fairfield, Ohio.

Dale is preceded in death by his parents and brother Dewayne Shreve.

He is survived by his wife Elaine (Beers) Shreve; sons Christopher (Denise) Shreve, and Curtis (Julie) Shreve; and daughter Margaret (Michael) Faloney; brother Ed (Jeannie) Shreve; grandchildren Zac and Shane Keller, Donovan Faloney, Caleb Shreve; great grandchildren Chase, Grayson, and Brooks Keller.
