Barbara Jean Sandlin

Barbara Jean Sandlin of Hamilton, Ohio at the age of 80 sadly passed away peacefully March 26, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born on October 8, 1943, the daughter of Oakley and Pearl Hopper. She married her high school sweetheart Luther "L.A." Sandlin on December 24, 1959, they started their life together by traveling to Germany where they spent their first few years while her husband was in the army. She is survived by her only daughter Tracey (James) Gill, beloved granddaughters Danielle (Nicholas) Winkler and Kristina Wolke and treasured great grandchildren Alexandrea (Griffin) Benjamin, Natalee Winkler, Branton Brunck, Hailley Brunck, James Wolke, Isabella Wolke and cherished lifelong friends Etta Jo Shackleford, Yvonne Hetrick, Linda Sutton and Marvin Sutton. Barbara was an avid reader, she enjoyed coloring, listening to music and loved her family unconditionally. She was proceeded in death by her parents, her sister and husband.

Celebration of life will be held on April 5, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. at the Michael J. Colligan Lodge at 20 New London Rd in Hamilton. A heart felt thank you and memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to Hospice of Middletown, 4418 Lewis Street B, Middletown, Ohio 45044. Also Thank You to the many staff members at Hawthorn Glenn for their love and support.
