Walter Anthony Joyce

JOYCE, WALTER ANTHONY (ANDY) age 95 of Prospect Bay, passed away August 23, 2018 at the Veteran’s Memorial Hospital. Born in Halifax he was the son of Edward and Annie (Simmons). He worked for C.N.R. for 37 years in Freight, Loss and Damage Control. Andy enjoyed his hunting and fishing trips over the years and tinkering around in his garage with woodworking and crafts. Survived by his former wife Hazel Joyce, who he had a special relationship with for many years; daughter Theresa (David) Moore, Prospect Bay; son Bernard Joyce, Halifax; sister Margaret Boucher, St Peters; brother Don, Halifax; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Edward and Annie; son Robert; brothers Jack, Eddie, Allan and Lockey. Funeral service Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 11:00am, at St Joseph’s Church, Shad Bay. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Veteran’s Memorial Hospital. Special thanks to the nurses and staff on 6 Jubilee West of the Veteran’s Hospital for the extra care and attention they provided. Private interment at a later date.
