Born September 7th, 1953, to Frank and Elizabeth (Russell) Myer in Campbellton, New Brunswick, he spent his early years in Mavillette, Nova Scotia before moving to the Halifax area at a young age. He grew up on Berlin Street in the West End of the city, eventually attending St. Patrick's High School. After earning a Bachelor of Arts from Saint Mary's, a Bachelor and Master of Social Work from Dalhousie he was recognized for 25+ years of Service as a Social Worker by the Province of Nova Scotia.
A baseball player in his youth he transitioned into an passionate local sports fan where he frequented many events in the Halifax area. In his heyday, Terry was an avid golfer, playing almost daily at his home course of Granite Springs.
Predeceased by his elder brother Jeff, he is survived by his younger brother Brian, his sons Christopher (Katie) and Robert, and his four grandsons, Riley, Liam, Noah and Oliver. He will be dearly missed, but his energy will continue on in all of us.
